Slope Stability Mitigation Design for a Residential Community in Lishui City Zhejiang Province

Abstract: This paper presents a case history of the slope stability mitigation design for a residential community in Zhejiang Province. The mitigation procedure is proposed based on the site subsurface conditions, and the factors that are to be considered in a typical slope stability related project. The evaluations are focused on the stability of the supporting structures and the analysis cases consider the most unfavorable conditions with standard loading conditions. The analyses are performed with Lizheng Geotechnical Engineering Version 5.6. The results indicate that a stable condition has been reached in each of the segment. Further, the design aspects of the ground anchor and the castinplace reinforced concrete retaining wall, which they both meet the code requirement and are cost effective, are presented in the paper.
