Abstract: Landslide occurred between Stations K1153+776 and K1153 +957 of Sichuan-Tibet Highway G317. It is at the left bank of Yongdaqu River. The subsurface investigation revealed the landslide limits and the subsurface conditions. Based on the analysis, it is concluded that the landslide was triggered by the seismic and the rainfall actions. The secondary slides are also prone to occur after the primary slides. These slides are very difficult to mitigate. The highway is recommended to relocate to the opposite side of the river which has relatively more stable condition.
