Abstract: The construction sequence of a reinforced concrete castinpace pile is to open a hole at the proposed pile location, place the rebar cage into the hole and then place the concrete. This technique receives a wide application due to its relatively matured construction technique, reliable quality, low cost, high bearing capacity as well as applicable to a wide range of soil strata. This paper presents a case study of the installation of castinpace piles for a pipeline project in Yellow River Floodplains. The construction results of the submerged reinforced castinplace concrete piles in these soil strata are also introduced.
