Key Technology Research of underground rock anchor beam construction

Abstract: Rock anchor beam construction requires the knowledge of controlled blasting, rock anchors, concrete and monitoring of surrounding rock deformation. It has been widely applied to underground powerhouses for pumped storage hydropower stations and the canyon hydropower stations. The effectiveness and longterm safe operation of the beam and surrounding rock depends on the integrity of the rock bench molding quality, anchoring quality, stability of the surrounding rock and beam structures. Based on the engineering experience from relevant projects both completed and under construction, the author believes that it is crucial to perform insitu testing, and realtime monitoring of the construction, and increase technology management measures.
