Abstract: The effect of the high speed train induced vibrations on the adjacent structures becomes more prominent with the rapid development of the high speed rail in recent years. The vibration within the soil mass would likely affect the normal use of the land along the railway alignments. The key to resolve the vibration related problem is to accurately measure the vibration. Based on the characteristics of the passenger rail lines, the dynamic response sensors were reasonably arranged in order to measure the response of the high speed train induced vibrations at various locations. The vibration response spectrum was obtained throughout the Fourier Transformation. The vibration dissipation characters can be more explicitly observed from the response spectrum. The objectives of the vibration study are: 1) provide basic data for the high speed rail vibration mitigation measures; 2) provide reference data for the high speed rail design.
