Abstract: This paper presents a case history of the monitoring results of a deep excavation.  The monitored data include: horizontal and vertical displacement at the ground surface near the excavation; various ground settlement below the excavated soils; internal forces within the supporting sheet piles and well as ground anchors. This paper discusses and analyzes the monitored soil as well as sheet pile displacements. The excessive deformations at several locations were consequently analyzed and the safe excavation was ensured.
