Abstract: This study summarizes the diagonal reception method adopted for the jacking-pipe passage at Entrance/Exit No.2 of Jinniu Mountain Station on Fuzhou Metro Line4. Beginning with an analysis of the risks associated with rectangular pipe-jacking reception, the paper presents the corresponding risk-control measures and the technical reception options. To address potential hazards during reception—such as mud and water inflow at the breakthrough opening, detachment of the reinforcement body, and excessive ground settlement—supplementary measures including dewatering, isolation piles, and pipe-roof reinforcement were implemented in addition to conventional rotary-jet grouting and curtain sealing. These measures effectively mitigated the risks of leakage and reinforcement peeling during shield reception. During construction, appropriate operating parameters, soil conditioning, timely friction-reduction grouting, secondary grouting, and breakthrough-opening sealing were applied to ensure that ground settlement remained within a controllable range. Based on statistical analysis of monitoring data, the effectiveness of settlement-control measures during construction is evaluated, thereby verifying the feasibility of the reinforcement options and the pipe-jacking reception technologies employed in this project.
