Abstract: Throughout the numerical simulation, this paper analyzed the stress distributions and deformation properties of the steel corrugated culvert under different fill stiffness to obtain the stress and strain curves of the culvert crown at various locations and the measurement points of the entire sections. The results indicate that, the deformation modes of the steel corrugate culvert under different backfill stiffness are similar. With the increase of backfill modulus, the deformation of the steel corrugate culvert is significantly reduced and the stress in the upper part of the crown is slightly decreased. When the backfill modulus increased to a certain value both the deformation and the stress in the steel corrugate culvert remain constant values.
