Post Grouted Cast-In-Place Concrete Piles

Abstract: The castinplace concrete pile was designed to have pile tip into the medium weathered clayey silty sandstone stratum and it was value engineered during the construction. The pile tip was shortened up to gravelly sand and post grouted in order to improve the axial capacity. The static load test indicated that the shortened and post grouted pile have a higher axial capacity than that of the original design value. The total pile length was able to be reduced by 14 meters. Each pile can save cost of 5,208 RMB.
