Abstract: The geotechnical properties of bedrock at Dayawan area are discussed in this paper. The project site is the China National Offshore Oil Company (CNOOC)'s Ten Million Tons Refinery Facility in Huizhou City. The mechanical properties of tested samples are statistically analyzed and compared with the code suggested values. The bedrock weathered zones are evaluated by using the ultrasonic wave velocity testing. The principles of the weathered zone subclassifications are also presented in this paper.
