Abstract: The stability of high cut slope is an important component of the geological hazard prevention system. A slope, which is located within the campus of the Secondary High School of the Town of Wuxia, is analyzed in this paper for the cut slope stability. The potential failure mode of this slope is predicted throughout the analysis of the geological characteristics, cut slope type as well as the structural plane locations. The stability is analyzed by using the limit equilibrium as well as analogic method in the engineering geology. The stability mitigation method used is a combination of local cut, reinforced concrete grid beams, ground anchors with shot crete netting and drainage system.
