Abstract: The characteristics of water conservation projects, especially for the sea and river dikes, river bank protection projects, are typically with a long alignment, wide area and can be simultaneously constructed at multiple locations. The capital investment for these projects is usually huge. Therefore, it has a practical importance for seeking the new construction materials and technologies. The Ionic Soil Stabilizer (ISS) is introduced and is applied in the real construction projects. This paper presents the in-situ and laboratory test results of the application of this soil stabilizer.
