Abstract: Due to the specialization of the reservoir, it is difficult to meet timely, accurate and distributed requirements for directly monitoring of cracks and leakages in baseboard and walls by some traditional methods. This paper proposes a new idea to measure strains using the distributed Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG) sensors, and analyze the results. Monitoring results show that the FBG sensors is suitable for walls strain monitoring in reservoirs. And the method to conjecture strains in baseboard by measuring strains along walls is feasible. The initial success is regarded to be helpful for the next crossing of the right subway tunnel.
