Abstract: The selection of the supporting scheme for a deep excavation project is based on the subsurface condition, depth of the proposed excavation, we well as the adjacent environment. A combination of anchored soldier pile & lagging wall with the soil nailed wall was used. The paper presents a typical design section that illustrating the gist of this application. The design checks indicate this predicted performances meet the code requirement. The design, construction and instrumentation aspect of this project are also introduced.
