Abstract: This paper presents the case history of the mitigation design of Shanghang Zijinshan landslide. The geotechnical as well as the environmental conditions of the distressed slope are reviewed. The stability of the slope is also analyzed. The proposed mitigation design protects the safety of buildings at the toe of the slope and is also proved to be a cost effective improvement method.
