Abstract: A successful landslide mitigation project requires an accurate characterization of the geotechnical and geological conditions of the sliding zone. This paper presents a case history of an application of highdensity resistivity method in the geotechnical investigation for a landslide mitigation project. The mechanisms of the highdensity resistivity method and this advantage as well as disadvantage are briefly introduced. The thickness of the overburden soils and the variation of the slip surface can be obtained from the twodimensional resistivity spectrum of throughout the cross sections.
