Abstract: The determination of charging parameters, blasting plans and vibration threshold has been introduced in this paper. Based on the vibration monitoring of an excavation project, the attenuation of PPV (peak particle velocity) have been analyzed.  It is found that, at the same point of a structure, the PPV at higher location is greater than that on the ground.  There exists a scaling effect that when vibration waves pass through a convex structure and the amplification factor decreases with the scaled distance.  The scaling effect should be taken into consideration in the design of blasting control.
