Incorporation of Nonlinear Rock Mass Creep Constitutive  Model into Finite Element Analysis Using User Subroutine

Abstract: A user subroutine was programmed to incorporate the nonlinear creep damage evolution equation of rock mass in the finite element analysis software ABAQUS.  With this user subroutine, the excavation of a circular tunnel and its subsequent mechanical behavior due creep were properly modeled.
