Abstract: Tunnel constructions in the mountain terrain frequently have geohazards, such as, collapse, sudden rush of mud and water, due to their complicated geological and topographical conditions. To minimize these geohazards, it is necessary to monitor the construction to predict the potential risks. Evaluating the specific hazard and its potential influence on the construction still has engineering importance. The collapse potential of Zengban Tunnel in the broken rock mass is evaluated by the comprehensive fuzzy approach method. This paper illustrates the details of the application of this method and the quantitative approach of the potential risk.
