Engineering Geological Characteristics of Soft Rock for the Third Yangtze River Bridge in Nangjing

Abstract: The soft rock often has special engineering characteristics, such as, expansive, softening, slaking and un-uniform. This paper presents the geological investigation results of the bedrock for the Nanjing Third Yangtze River Bridge. The physical and mechanical properties of the soft rock and its potential geotechnical hazards are also introduced in the paper.
