Abstract: Ground anchor with lattice beam is a slope stabilization technique that is the combination of deep strengthening and shallow erosion prevention. This technique has been widely applied in the highway cut slopes and embankments. In the lattice beam design, the proposed method uses the tributary area at each node at the cross. The slope is assumed to be the elastic soil foundation. The dimensions (spacing, sectional properties, cantilever condition) of the lattice beam can be determined by using the Winkler Elastic Theory. The analytical results indicate that the differences in shear force and bending moments are at side spans. The bending moment tends to be constant in the mid spans. The bending moment in the lattice beam is more sensitive to the dimensions comparing with the shear force. The suggested section properties of the lattice beams are: higher height to width ratio, smaller spacing, and the length of the cantilever beam should be 1/3 of the spacing.
