Abstract: A 3DFEM model was established on the MATLAB platform to backcalculate lateral pressure coefficient for a large size diversion tunnel from insitu stress measurement.The backcalculated results indicate the FEM inversion method proposed is feasible and provides a reference for the design,construction of the supporting system of the diversion tunnel.
