Application of Rayleigh Wave in the Quality Assurance of Bank Protection Projects

Abstract: The concrete and masonry structures are the major elements in the bank protection projects. The conventional quality assurance measures for these elements are either ultrasonic nondestructive testing or the destructive open excavation. This paper presents a case history of using Rayleigh Wave Method detecting these structures. The test results and evaluation criteria are also presented in the paper.
