Abstract: The landslide hazards of the Yanzi River Basin were systematically investigated by the field reconnaissance and geological drilling methods. The development characteristics of these landslides were evaluated from the locations of the occurrence, morphology, the landslide structure and material components aspects. The stability evaluation was performed at a typical landslide (Third Community of Dujiayuan Slide) under the normal condition as well as the extreme conditions, such as heavy rains and earthquake. The results indicate that, under the heavy precipitation condition, the slope is not stability and the potential slide might occur.
