Abstract: Highway slope has the characteristics of short construction period and many uncertain risk factors, so it is necessary to perform construction safety hazard assessment. By introducing the Barycenter Theory of fuzzy set into the traditional fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, a method of slope construction safety hazard assessment based on the Barycenter Theory of fuzzy set is proposed. Firstly, the internal and external factors that affecting the slope stability are selected to construct the risk assessment index system, and the different levels of membership of each index are estimated. Then, the AHP is used to determine the weight of each index. Finally, the risk level of slope safety is determined based on the Barycenter Theory of fuzzy set. The method is applied to the safety risk assessment of a highway slope in Guangxi Province. It is in good agreement with the situation of the slope site, which verifies the applicability and reliability of the proposed method. In addition, in order to illustrate the universality of the proposed method, two other slopes in the area are selected for risk assessment, and the results obtained are also in good agreement with the actual situation of the slope site.
