Abstract: The deep excavation engineering is a systematic engineering. The design and construction of the excavation support are not only related to the hydrogeology engineering, but also related to the surrounding environment of the excavation, the requirements of deformation limits, the importance level, and other factors. At the current stage, with the rapid development of the urban underground space and high-raised building construction, there are more and more deep excavation projects adjacent to these already densely located buildings. Many researchers and engineering practitioners have completed much research on the control of the deformation in the support structures, the surrounding strata displacement and the adjacent building deformation. Valuable experience has been accumulated throughout these projects. In this paper, a deep excavation project near the subway is presented. The engineering geology and surrounding environment of the project are evaluated, and the double row soldier pile wall with ground anchor as well as internal strut support are selected as the excavation supporting structure. The construction monitoring data proved the effectiveness of this type of supporting structure. Which can be used in supporting of the deep excavations with deformation sensitive adjacent structures.
