Theoretical Model of Compaction Grout Considering the Soil Three-Dimensional Shear Failure

Abstract: This paper presents a new theoretical model for the compaction grout is proposed based on the theory of the spherical space expansions and considering the effect of the threedimensional cone shear failure of soil. The formulas foe estimating the uplift force and grouting pressure are also provided in the paper. The suggested method is also compared with the results from ElKelesh’s method. The relationship between the radius of the grouting bulb and the grouting pressure is also established to predict the required grouting pressure at different soil depths.
