Abstract: This paper presents the uplift resistance mechanism and its estimation of the rolled steel in the Soil Mixing Wall (SMW). The upliftdeformation estimation methods are compared by different analytical models and it is concluded that, in the uplift estimation, the contribution of the SMW rigidity needs to be considered. The paper also presents the reference rigidity values of the SMW.
