Abstract: The seepage problem is a prevailing issue in the excavations under saturated conditions. For the geotechnical projects, it is very important and necessary to study the seepage field properties and the stress strain status under the seepage actions.  This paper presents the numerical simulation results of a pipe line project cross the Sheshui River by using FLAC3D software. The results indicate: under the seepage action, the deformation and the stress have a significant increase in both the surround rock mass and the jacked pipe line. Therefore, the seepage action should be considered for the excavation support design and construction.
