Abstract: With the rapid urban developments, more and more highraised buildings are constructed in the limited urban areas. There is a trend to utilize the underground spacing for these highraised buildings. As a result, the supporting demand for the deep excavation is ever increasing. There are many supporting techniques and their associated design methods available. For a specific deep excavation project, the selection of the supporting method and the appropriate design method are among the first objective. This paper presents a case history of using the cement mixed wall for a deep excavation supporting system. The subsurface conditions, the adjacent construction environment for the proposed deep excavation site as well as the stability analysis of the proposed excavation are introduced.
