Abstract: The conventional supporting system in the vertical excavations in cohesive soil layers is the soldier pile with or without ground anchors. When the cantilever soldier piles are used, larger deformation at the supporting system is expected; If the castinplace soldier pile with ground anchor are used, a long construction period with large investment are anticipated; If the steel pipe piles are used, a large quantities of ground anchor are necessary. This paper present the Prefabricated High Strength Concrete Pipe Pile (PHC) with the ground anchor system for the deep excavation support in the cohesive soil layers. It is technically feasible and has the cost effective advantage.
