Abstract: The steel producing is a high pollution and high energy consumption industry and it is the social development trend of reducing the use of steel productions. The steel pipes in the state of the practice of the crosshole sonic logging in the integrity testing of the castinplace concrete piles predominant and the utilization of the PVC plastic pipes in the integrity testing is relatively rare. This paper presents a feasibility study of the use of plastic pipes in the sonic logging test. The design, application and installation aspects of the plastic pipes are discussed in the paper.
