Abstract: The excavation blasting vibration monitoring of Tianjingshan tunnel results are presented in this paper. The measured peak particle velocities (PPV) in the adjacent tunnels are 0.11 cm/s and 0.10 cm/s, respectively. And the maximum vibration direction is in the radius direction that is perpendicular to the tunnel wall. The results indicate that the blasting excavation method used in the Tianjingshan Tunnel has a minor impact on the adjacent tunnels. The stability and safety of the effect tunnels can be warranted. It is also concluded that the stress wave induced by the blasting is significantly reduced in the broken rock mass and the code requirements seem to be conservative. In the construction, the PPV can be adjusted accordingly if a comprehensive monitoring program is implemented.
