Abstract: The slurry walls formed by soilcement mixing or jet grout are widely used in the water resource and hydropower engineering projects where an impervious curtain is required. The insitu permeability test is one of the major methods to evaluate the construction quality of the slurry walls. Currently, different insitu permeability tests are recommended in various national and industrial codes, but the testing procedures are rarely mentioned. Furthermore, there are advantages and disadvantages among these different testing methods. This paper compares the advantages and their applicability of different insitu permeability testing methods.
