Abstract: Slope stability analysis and evaluation methods include qualitative and quantitative evaluations. The engineering geology analogy method is one of the qualitative evaluation methods. Its essence is to sum up the experience of geotechnical engineering of existing slopes and apply it to the study of slope stability evaluation with similar conditions. It is an empirical method and widely used. This paper presents the case history of the stability evaluation of a slope in Leshan City, Sichuan Province. Basic characteristics of a target slope, including its scope, scale, shape, material composition and deformation characteristics, are first introduced. Then, the repose angle of the surrounding similar original slope and fill slope is determined. Finally, the stability of the slope is analyzed and evaluated by using the geological analogy method, in order to adopt engineering control measures and similar slope stability.
