Application of Entity Unit Element in the Deep Excavation Supporting Analysis Using FLAC3D

Abstract: This paper presents the application of entity unit element in the deep excavation supporting analysis using FLAC3D commercial software. The advantage of using this new element is that the adverse of the number of connection joints on the numerical analysis can be minimized and the strain stress conditions in the supporting structure are more reliable. Therefore, the supporting design can be more accurate.
