Abstract: The wood structure has the advantage of energy saving and other green features, therefore, receives wider applications in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan and province of Taiwan, China. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection as well as the increasing concern of minimizing the earthquake hazards, the light weight wood structure can be used as an environmental friendly, good earth quake performance, and a sustainable development structure. This paper presents the construction techniques of single wood residential buildings in a development.
