Application of Reinforced Flexible Structures in High Fill Embankments

Abstract: This paper presents an application of reinforced flexible structure in a high fill embankment in Sichuan Province. The performance of the reinforced soil slope was analyzed by Lizhen commercial software and hand calculations. The results indicate that the slip surface of the unreinforced zone before adding the reinforcement can be used as the bases of determining the reinforcement length. Gabion basket treated slope reduces the potential settlement of the fill soils.


