Compaction Grout and Quality Assurance of Industrial Building Above Abandoned Mines in Zhangqiu

Abstract: The proposed industrial buildings in Zhangqiu City, Jinan, are located above an abandoned mine. The limits of the underground voids were determined throughout the conventional boring program and geophysical methods. The compaction grout was used for the abandoned mine voids treatment. The grouting holes primarily located within the void limits. At locations with drill bits lost and drilling water loss, grouting holes were more densely distributed. The relationship between the penetration rate of the grouting holes and the grouting quantities were statistically evaluated. The coring of the grouting column was used as a grouting quality assurance measure.
