Abstract: The high cut slope at Guixiang Road, Changsha was longterm monitored in order to study the performance of the prestressed ground anchor and soldier pile under the operation conditions. Measures to deal with the prestress loss, prestress change and horizontal displacement change with time were investigated. The relationship between the prestress level and the horizontal displacement are also discussed in the paper. It is concluded that the prestress level controls the horizontal displacement. Other influence factors on the horizontal displacement are, soil properties, rigidity of the soldier pile, groundwater. It is also concluded that the nonlinear soil properties and the nonlinear deformation properties of the ground anchor should also be considered in the design of supporting high cut slope with ground anchor and soldier pile system.
