Abstract: The pullout test is one of the important quality assurance measures in the installation of the ground anchors. The current engineering practice measures the ultimate load and its deformation. However, abnormal could be presented under various incremental loadings. Currently, no procedures are defined for the excessive elongation of the ground anchors. This paper presents a ground anchor pullout test control procedure by using the basic material properties. The deformation under the incremental loads can be calculated. The calculated values are found to be consistent with the observed values.
