Abstract: As a common geological hazard, landslides have induced a significant loss of the property and human life and hampered the sustainable development of the economy. This paper present a case history of a landslide in Liping Village of Jinggangshan City. The instability of the slope might cause the loss of more than 50 million RMB, the loss of human life as well as the induced social impact are unmeasurable. This paper systematically analyzed the mechanism and stability of the slope based on the field boring information, laboratory test results and the slope movement monitoring data.
