Applications of Foamed Concrete in Deep Soft Soils

摘要: 泡沫混凝土作为一种新型填筑材料,具有质地轻、表观密度极小、高流动性等优点,近年来逐渐被运用于软基路堤的填筑以及桥台台背的填筑工程中。通过泡沫混凝土置换路堤在福建霞浦深厚软土地区某公路A6标段桥头软基处理工程中的应用实践,探讨了泡沫混凝土置换路堤的施工技术,通过现场监测结果证实了该材料可以运用于桥头深厚软基处理中,能够达到缩短工期和减小路基沉降量的要求。

Abstract: As an innovative back fil material, the foamed concrete has the advantages having light weight and high flowability and workability. In recent years, it has received a wider application of constructing embankment over soft compressible soils as well as in back filling the bridge abutments. This paper presents a case history of a bridge abutment with the foamed concrete in the A6 Contract Section that consisting of deep soft soils in Xiapu, Fujian. The construction aspects of the foam concrete replacement embankment are discussed in the paper. The field monitoring results confirmed that the material can be applied to the deep soft foundation of the bridge abutments in terms of reducing the potential settlement. The results indicate that the construction schedule can be shortened with minimized and satisfactory embankment settlement.
