Effect of NaCl Solution on the Strength Parameters of Ningming Expansive Soils

摘要: 通过宁明膨胀土的液塑限试验以及采用泥浆制样法的固结慢剪试验,分析了不同浓度的NaCl溶液对宁明膨胀土强度指标的影响。结果表明:随着NaCl溶液浓度的增加,粘聚力与内摩擦角均呈现下降的趋势;液限与塑性指数也随着NaCl溶液浓度的增加而降低。说明NaCl溶液浓度对宁明膨胀土的强度指标均有不同程度的影响,不同浓度的NaCl溶液导致了粘土颗粒间的相互作用力和双电层的变化,从而影响着其强度指标。

Abstract: The Atterberg Limits and consolidated drained direct shear tests were performed on soil samples prepared from Ningming expansive soil slurries. This paper presents the effect of NaCl solutions on the strength parameters of Ningming expansive soils. The results indicate that, with the increase of Nacl concentrations, both the internal friction and the cohesion in the sample decrease. The liquid as well as the plastic index also decrease with the increase of NaCl concentrations. The reason for these changes might be explained from the point of NaCl solutions change the interactions among the clay particles and double electronic layer properties.
