Strength and Deformation Parameters of Coral Sand Foundations from In-Situ Tests

摘要: 珊瑚礁砂物理力学性质与硅质砂有明显的区别,而现有的地基强度与变形参数经验关系均是基于硅质砂建立的,不适用于珊瑚礁砂地基,无法在珊瑚岛礁建设过程中直接使用。依托海南某工程项目,在珊瑚礁砂地基上进行了大量重型圆锥动力触探、平板载荷和标准贯入试验,基于原位测试数据,探讨建立适用于海南某岛礁珊瑚砂的重型圆锥动力触探击数(N63.5)与地基变形模量(E0)、标准贯入试验锤击数(N)的经验关系,为今后海洋岛礁建设的地基处理设计与验收提供参考。

Abstract: The physical and mechanical properties of coral sand are significantly different from those of quartz sand and the current strength and deformation parameters for the foundation design are established based on the land origin quartz sand and might not be applicable to the foundations on coral sands. This paper presents the heavy dynamic penetration tests, plate load tests and standard penetration results on a construction project in coral sand soils in Hainan. The relationship between the heavy dynamic penetration test blow counts (N63.5) and the deformation modulus (E0) of foundation soils, standard penetration test blow count (N) and the deformation modulus are established.
