用液性指数评价饱和软粘土特性存在偏差的微观因素分析

摘要: 液性指数是粘性土重要的物性指标,工程中广泛采用该指标来确定地基土的软硬程度和承载力。在岩土工程勘察中,常发现软粘土室内测定的液性指数比天然状态下的偏大。分析土的微观结构发现,即使经过一定压力固结的软粘土的孔隙中都同时存在强结合水、弱结合水和自由水。与重塑土相比,不仅原状土土颗粒的排列形式具有更高的强度,而且颗粒与颗粒的联接具有更大的强度。由于液性指数是在土的结构被充分破坏后测得的,所以用于评价天然土的液性指数常常得到偏大的结果。

Abstract: Liquid index is one of the most important indices of clayey soils. It describes the consistency of the cohesive soils and it is widely used to empirically assess the bearing capacity of the cohesive strata. During the geotechnical investigation, it is often noted that the liquid index of soft clay obtained from the remolded state appears to be higher than that obtained from the undisturbed soils samples. After the microstructure studies, it is concluded that three different waters exist in the cohesive soil fabric: strong bonded water, weak bonded water and free water. The consistency is not determined by all of the waters around the clay particles, but is determined by the statement of water connecting the clay particles. The thickness of water membrane connecting the clay particles at the insitu condition is thinner than those at remolded condition. So the in situ soils are stiffer than those remolded soils with. Since the remolded soil is used in laboratory test to obtain liquid limit and plastic limit, liquid index is more suitable to assess the statement of remolded soil other than the in situ soils.
